Hüseyin Güllüoğlu Ortaokulu-Ah Bir Ataş Ver Türküsünün Hikayesi

Student Erva's work
The incident occurred on April 4, 1953. In the offshore of the Dardanelles, Lara, the Dumlupınar submarine belonging to the Turkish navy, was approaching the port to retreat with his navy after a long and tiring mission.
Weather conditions were very bad, there was fog, there was rain ... As the navy dreamed of rest approached the harbor, they were shaken with great noise. The submarine had collided with a freighter from the Swedish navy. At that time, 8 people were on board and 2 of them died by stuck on the propeller, 1 of them drowned, and 5 of them were saved. There were 81 crew members inside the ship, and only 22 people managed to escape by hiding in the torpedo, of course, unaware of the worse ending that awaited them.
The submarine had gone under the sea. 22 people in Toprido launched a buoy on the surface and contacted the center via the telephone cable inside. The crew told the incident that the crew responded from the center. "Don't speak, don't sing and don't smoke unless necessary."
They were waiting for their country to save themselves, unaware that they would be heroic soldiers. But everyone except them knew the situation, and with the technology of that time, there was no way to get those soldiers out of there.
At that moment an announcement came to the soldiers "You can talk comfortably, sing a song, you can smoke"
Hopes were exhausted, soldiers were waiting for death. The last words of the 22 hero soldiers were "Commander, everything is here, should we burn a jock?" It was.
The whole country had been mobilized, but the result was obvious, they would not have been saved. The rescuer ship could only arrive 12 hours after the incident. 25 hours later, it could only be fixed. At that time, the cable between the float and the torpedo was cut and communication was broken. The divers were trying to reach the Dumlupınar shipwreck nearly 100 m deep, but in vain. The weather was very bad underwater waves swept the divers. It was impossible for divers to follow the cable when there was no cable accidentally cut by the savior. Eleven dives were made, but none were successful. Nevertheless, a diver named Yılmaz Süsen managed to dive 80 meters, leaving 11 m to his target. At that moment, he could not stand the pressure and lost his consciousness. He had just returned from the edge of eating. After 15 hours, they were able to open their consciousness. The Americans who participated in the rescue efforts used the following sentence for the diver. "Nothing was left with death." As a result of the 3-day efforts on April 7, the Ministry of National Defense reported that it had stopped the rescue efforts and the hopes were cut.
22 soldiers were left to die. One of Turkey's top decision-days made history April 4th, 1953. The song "Ah give a paper clip" comes from here. Everyone who knows his story will suffocate in tears for every reason he hears ...
